Boggy Dog Bakery, Inc is a fully registered Florida Gourmet Pet Treat Bakery. We currently bake and distribute our products only within Florida. The US Food & Drug Administration and each State's Department of Agriculture regulate pet foods and treats. Since each State has different registration, fees and label requirements we are currently unable to offer our snacks nationwide.

Pet Treat Bakeries are required by law to register with several levels of government to distribute products. Please make sure a legal and accountable company produces the snacks you purchase or feed to your pet.

Any home-based business, wholesale company, pet store or individual who bakes and distributes pet treats must have current federal, state, county and city licenses and registrations as applicable. The snacks must also bear a label that lists information required by the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and must meet State Department of Agriculture requirements.

Whether you purchase treats from an individual, company or pet store you have the right to know who baked and distributed the snacks and if they are safe for your pet. Boggy Dog Bakery, Inc will report any businesses we encounter who do not have the proper credentials to legally operate a pet treat bakery. We feel this is a necessary step to ensure the safety of pets in our area.

Boggy Dog Bakery, Inc is a home-based business located in Niceville, Florida owned and operated by Christy & PJ Walker. Why did we start this business? Prior to the 2006 pet food recalls we assumed that the high quality pet food and snacks we fed our dog were safe although we had never really looked at the ingredient statements. When our dog, Roamy, suddenly went blind and started suffering terrible seizures during the recalls we took a hard look at the ingredients in her diet. The results were pretty shocking.

Our family, along with thousands of other pet owners, started extensively researching canine nutrition and talking with Veterinarians. Pet owners continue to educate themselves on canine nutrition to ensure their pets enjoy a healthier quality of life.  More frequently consumers are turning to pet treat bakeries to purchase snacks for their pets. Our goal is to provide our customers with snacks that are a healthier alternative to products usually found on the market. Many folks ask, "Who are the Boggy Dogs?" Each snack is named either after a dog who has claimed us or who belong to family and friends. We are always on the lookout for the next “Boggy Dog” and encourage pet owners to submit photos and stories.

Boggy Dog Bakery, Inc only accepts and ships orders within Florida. All orders must be paid in full prior to acceptance. We collect and remit 6% sales tax to the Florida Department of Revenue based on order amount less shipping and handling. Customers are responsible for paying additional taxes if applicable.

The preferred payment method is by PayPal secure online payment. PayPal is secure, free and easy to use. Please contact PayPal if you have any questions regarding their policies and practices.

Mail or Phone Orders
We also accept payment in the form of cashier's checks, money orders, and personal checks in US currency made payable to Boggy Dog Bakery, Inc. We accept cash but do not encourage customers to mail this form of payment. Customers who pay by personal check will have their order processed after clearance of funds. A $25 returned check fee will be charged for any returned checks. Boggy Dog Bakery, Inc also accepts Visa and MasterCard credit or debit transactions for phone orders.

FREE or Discounted delivery is available to our Niceville and Valparaiso, Florida customers with a two item minimum purchase. Shipping and Handling (S&H) charges are automatically applied to online orders but will be refunded less a minimal PayPal transaction fee. Orders placed over the phone or via email receive free delivery with a two item minimum order. If you live outside our local area and would like to place an order for local pick-up please give us a call at 850-678-1024 or contact us.

S&H calculations are based on order amounts less sales tax. Free S&H is offered for orders of $50.00 or more. Orders placed online are shipped either USPS Priority Mail or Standard Mail depending on customer location.

If ordering online, PayPal automatically calculates S&H charges at checkout. If ordering via phone or mail, we will calculate the charges based upon the total cost of the order less tax if applicable. Any special offers in effect at the time of order will apply. Orders are generally shipped within two (2) days after acceptance of order and payment. We ship orders Monday through Friday.
